Summer Musical Theatre Workshop Wednesdays,
June 28, July 5, 12, 19, 26, August 2, 2006, 6:30-9:30 PM, St. John’s Episcopal Church, 158 W. High St., Somerville, NJ: This
workshop will explore the “how to” of musical theater, using basic acting techniques to develop the character’s need to sing
so it becomes an integral part of the overall plot. Also included - vocal exercises to develop/strengthen the voice. Accompanist
at sessions. $300

sessions), July 6,11,13,18,20,25,27, Aug. 1, 6:30-9:30 PM, Designed specifically for teens ready and eager to be challenged!
This class will explore the basic techniques of acting so that the young actor will be made aware of the process and how
to implement those tools in every day life as well as in theatre. The use of theatre games, improvisation, exercises to open
sensory awareness and more may be used and incorporated into scenes or monologues. Ages 14-19. $300

Center. The goal of The Actor's Place is to bring to Central Jersey an affordable, professional-quality, on-going workshop.
The co-directors' sixty years of combined professional experience performing, teaching and directing in all media, provides
a firm foundation to pursue this mission. The Actor's Place plans to offer training commensurate with the best east and west
coast schools in both quality and variety.
Defined and structured to accommodate all levels of development, this workshop
will appeal to the busy, experienced actor as well as those taking their first steps towards their dream. We believe that
acting is a creative art requiring the same effort and dedication towards training as dance or music. The Actor's Place Workshop
makes such training available in Central Jersey. TAP is committed to being a place for significant personal and professional
growth.

THIS WORKSHOP BY INTERVIEW ONLY. The focus will be on the development
of the character within the confines of the script. All areas of development will be covered, i.e. scoring the scene, character
research and implementation, physical expressiveness, making the right creative choices and much, much more. All participants
will perform their scene's in a presentation workshop. Class will be limited in size.
